Taylor Swift took over Oheka Castle in Huntington for her new video “Blank Space,” where she plays the revenge-minded girlfriend of model Sean O’Pry.
In “Blank Space,” Swift, 24, and O’Pry, 25, are living the life of Gatsby, complete with dramatic entrances down the fabled Oheka Grand Staircase, pony rides down the tree-lined West Gate Drive, and dinners in the Grand Ballroom.
Of course, the fairy tale is soon shattered when Swift discovers O’Pry texting to someone else while they picnic near the Formal Gardens. That’s when knife-brandishing, golf club-wielding, mascara-streaked Angry Taylor arrives.
“She’s highly aware of one particular thing that’s happening right now — the idea that if you date her and you break up with her, she’s going to write a song about you,” “Blank Space” director Joseph Kahn told Mashable. “She’s aware of this. She’s not an idiot. Taylor wanted to make a video addressing this concept of if she has so many boys breaking up with her maybe the problem isn’t the boy, maybe the problem is her.”
Word began leaking out of Oheka in mid-September that Swift was filming a music video there. However, it wasn’t clear for which song.

“Blank Space,” the second single from Swift’s record-setting “1989” album, was supposed to make its debut on “Good Morning America” Tuesday. However, Kahn said Yahoo! accidentally posted it Monday afternoon and Swift decided to make it public early. Word spread quickly and soon “#BLANKSPACEMUSICVIDEO” was the top trending topic on Twitter.
